The One Horse Sleigh

The One Horse Sleigh (print size: 12"x9"):  The inspiration for this piece was from a poem my father used to quote when I was a child, about The One Horse Shay.  (The Deacon's Masterpiece or, the Wonderful One-Hoss Shay: a Logical Story by Oliver Wendell Holmes)  As the story goes--the deacon built the shay with great care to last one hundred years to the day.  The shay gave good service for one hundred years then, at one hundred years to the day, it crumbled to dust.  I don't know how old the sleigh is in this picture, but I would not want to be riding in it on the day it reaches one hundred years.

The One Horse Sleigh was created in 3D Studio Max, World Builder, Poser, and Photoshop.
